Jerry Lodriguss is well known through his website astropix.com where amateurs are taught how to obtain spectacular astro photos using good technique, film, and the powerful software program Adobe Photoshop. The present CD is not about any imaging software or such, rather it uses IE to display pages just like a book.

The most interesting aspect of the CD book is its ability to transverse beginner, intermediate, and advanced astrophotography. There is something here for everyone. While techniques for taking long exposure astrophotos of nebulas and galaxies are taught, so too are the many ways of obtaining beautiful astrophotos without any telescope at all.

The tutorial videos show the author working on an image in Photoshop during which Jerry can be heard describing what he is doing and why he is doing it, as if that were not enough, the content of each video is also written out in webpage format.

The author also gives sound advice on how to use the DSLR and answers many of the perplexing questions the beginner will face such as how to find the correct ISO and exposure length for a given object.

All said, this is a must have, for the amateur who truly wants to succeed in the genera of Digital SLR Astrophotography.
