For non-geeks the main advantage would be the ease of use, the image stabilization works even better than expected, the picture quality is quite good but not so the video quality, I mean it’s not great. It looks a little shaky while playing the movie back. Another downside is that it uses a mini DVD disc that is not compatible with most DVD players and computers. Still if you want to shoot quality home videos for less than $400 it’s worth it. As compared to the Samsung 164 the indoor video quality is quite good even in low light. Recommended for budget customers looking for a quality product.
